A Steel-and-Sky Pavilion Built to Hold Two Hundred Ideas

This pavilion-style event hall in South Delhi is the largest frame on the campus - an art gallery and studio built to hold exhibitions, shoots, workshops, and gatherings of up to two hundred. A black steel grid ceiling floats overhead like a drawing of itself, ringed by a continuous band of clerestory windows. All day, palm crowns and sky move through that glass band, and sunlight drops onto the concrete floor in long, shifting geometries.

The hall reads industrial but never cold. White walls carry rotating photography and artworks; a magenta pixelated door glows at one end like a single brushstroke of colour. Designer furniture gathers in loose islands - a wingback here, knitted pouffes in moss and teal there, low wooden tables, sculptural floor lamps that switch on like small suns at dusk. Slender black columns mark the space without interrupting it, leaving a near-square floor that rearranges into whatever the day demands.
